Bishnoi’s Bowling Brilliance
Bishnoi had already impressed in the first two T20Is with his exceptional bowling performances, taking 4/13 and 2/11. He also reached a personal milestone by completing 150 wickets in T20 cricket during his previous outing. His consistent performances have been crucial for India’s success in this series.
India’s Strong Batting Performance
India’s innings was anchored by captain Shubman Gill, who scored 66 runs off 49 balls, including three sixes and seven boundaries. Contributions from Ruturaj Gaikwad (49 off 28) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (36 off 27) helped India post a formidable total of 182/4. Zimbabwe’s bowlers, Sikandar Raza and Blessing Muzarabani, each took two wickets but couldn’t contain the Indian batsmen.
Zimbabwe’s Struggle in Chase
Chasing a target of 183, Zimbabwe found themselves at 110-5 after 15 overs, with Dion Myers and Clive Madande at the crease. The hosts had earlier won the first T20I by 13 runs, defending a low total of 115. However, India bounced back in the second T20I with a 100-run victory, thanks to Abhishek Sharma’s century and strong bowling from Mukesh Kumar and Avesh Khan.
With two more T20Is to be played at the same venue on July 13 and 14, India will be looking to continue their winning momentum and secure a lead in the five-match series.
