Virat Kohli impressed fans with his soccer skills as he practiced for the India-Pakistan Super Fours match in the 2023 Asia Cup in Colombo.
Before the big game against Pakistan, Kohli, known as one of the best cricket batsmen today, took a break to showcase his soccer skills during a practice session in Colombo. He’s a big soccer fan and has openly talked about his admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese superstar. He even attended the FA Cup final between Manchester City and Manchester United a few months ago.
Kohli also has a stake in the Indian soccer club FC Goa and has played in exhibition soccer matches involving Indian cricketers and actors.
It’s common for cricketers to warm up with soccer before practice, and that’s what the Indian team was doing before their match against Pakistan in Colombo. Kohli’s impressive soccer moves became a viral sensation.
In ODIs this year, Kohli has been in good form, but in the first India-Pakistan game in the Asia Cup, he was dismissed for just four runs by Shaheen Afridi. Unfortunately, that game was washed out due to rain in Pallekele. Both teams are hoping for better weather conditions in Colombo. The forecast isn’t ideal, but the Sri Lanka-Bangladesh match at the same venue went smoothly without rain interruption a day before the India-Pakistan game, raising hopes for a rain-free encounter.
